Britney’s’ MTV music awards preparations

As their lawyers engage in legal feuds in court custodial papers, the former couple Britney spears and Kevin Federline are more focused on business. Brits MTV music awards are approaching and she has been taking time at Alley Kat dance studios in L.A perfecting moves for the event, reported In Touch Weekly. Britney is planning it to be a big comeback performance,” a spears source has revealed to the magazine, and claims that Brits intention is to create a “shocking” revelation in the music video.

Word leaked to the In Touch that the famous magician Criss Angel is part of Britney’s VMA premier show. The magazine reports that some acts have been canceled out due to their abrasive nature in the early stages of VMA organizing. One of the canceled acts included a dance routine of Britney Spears with ex-fiancs and husbands Justin Timberlake and Kevin Federline flashing on the screen in the back. Incidentally reports of another cancellation of a duet between Justin Timberlake and Britney. “Totally, patently false,” an insider reported to In Touch.

K-Fed on the “One Tree Hill” as a Rock Star

Kevin Federline has on his part been reportedly busy and perfecting on his role as a responsible adult. He surely has been lately winning the Mr. Nice guy praises from episodes of “One Tree Hill”, reported the US. “People know a more bombastic version of him, but he seemed very humble and sweet to me-hardworking and well intentioned,” producer Mark Schwann told the magazine. Schwann reported that if things work out well, K-Fed might just be required back for more episodes in his role as a rock singer.

Back to the courts; while Brit and Federline appear pretty busy, the custodial court case looms large. A recent filing by Britney spears sought to defer the hearing from Sept 8 to allow time for her to; I believe get some dirt of Kevin who has recently won a yard or two on the Mr. nice guy front. It is claimed that Britney Spears has hired a private investigator to dig up some dirt to help tear down K-Fed’s nice guy image.

Britney spears’ new single “Gimme more” has got its world premiere on New York radio station Z-100’s website. The song is characteristic of Britney with breathy and electronic dance rhythm. For this writer, listening to Britney Spears’ Womanizer single is reminiscent of how good she was back in her prime. This song will induce only two reactions: love or hate it. But I’m pretty sure most will not go for the latter.

For years, fans have missed the kind of music only Britney Spears can give. And with the release of Blackout the album, the pop superstar announced to the world that she is back after a couple of tumultuous years. Her comeback was made official by a lackluster (and oftentimes lambasted) performance at the MTV VMAs where she did not appear to be in her element.

Blackout turned out to be her most unsuccessful album in her career. She then released a track from her upcoming album called Womanizer which seemed to have redeemed her from the mess she made at the MTV Awards. The track contained everything that is Britney Spears: funky, interesting, and catchy. It will make you dance and groove. You will experience last-song-syndrome after listening to it.

Fans will be able to connect to the song easily. The words, penned by Nikesha Briscoe and Rapheal Akinyemi, were relatable. It tells the story of a womanizer who’s trying to score but he’s been found out and the girl is not giving him a chance to even reach first base. A lot of young girls will connect to this one. The chorus cannot be any catchier: Womanizer, woman-womanizer You’re a womanizer Oh womanizer, Oh you’re a womanizer baby You, you, you are You, you, you are Womanizer, womanizer, womanizer.

The track has an electro-punk feel. It’s something that seems to be becoming a trend in today’s hit songs. However, despite the dance-y and pop quality of the song, it seems that they could have done away with the electo-techno-futuristic sound. The song would have done as well if it stayed on the pop-bubble gum genre which Britney Spears is famous for.

The record still sounds great nevertheless. One can’t deny that this is a hit–a Britney hit. She has her signature all over the record:The lyric, phrasing, the distinctive vocals and tempo.

Most artists would like to come out with a different sounding records. Britney was among them (she had a collaboration with Madonna) but with this particular track, it seemed she went back a couple of steps. The way Womanizer was arranged (taking the futuristic sound away), it sounded like the kind of record she would sing years ago, but it is NOT an issue because it sounded great. It was wise to go back to basics after her hiatus because it re-solidified her hold in the pop scene.

Womanizer is a great song. Nothing much can be said, really. If you expect a great song from Britney Spears for her upcoming album, then this one really raised the bar.

Jaime Lynn Spears and Baby Daddy Casey Aldridge Have Broken Up

Now that the world knows that Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant we must now also mention that her and baby daddy  Casey Aldridge have broken up. Lately the couple has been fighting none stop. The 16 week pregnant Jamie Lynn Spears says she can have the baby without a father. Jamie would much rather have her mother in the delivery room than they baby’s father.  Claiming that her family can raise the baby. After all a 16 year old boy doesn’t have much to offer.  This could however be a temporary thing, the two are always fighting and are constantly breaking up and getting back together.

David Hinckley writes in the New York Daily News reports that Nickelodeon should cut ties with Britney Spears’ sister Jamie Lynn and not air season three of ‘Zoey 101‘ for now being “an unmarried 16-year-old who announces her pregnancy.

Britney Spears is another high-profile mass media target (though one might suggest anyone entering celebrity village does so knowingly and of her own volition).  Beautiful and entertaining pop star Britney Spears gets much coverage for her antics, attitudes, actions, and values, even.  But what we wonder is this: which are intentional as contributions to her publicity campaigns and which are unintended leaks to the public?

“Oops, I did it again/I played with your heart…,” smirks the cheeky, sexy Spears.  But is it really an innocent faux pas?  With the debut and platinum catapult to success of her first album, Baby One More Time, Spears was the school girl with sex appeal…and the singing/dancing star at the top of the pop charts.  Innocent, cute, but Lolita-esque at best.  So the information begins…or, that is, the rumors take up housing in her high-profile life: when she turned  seventeen and she has had breast implants.  The publicity had begun!

Next, with only three years (and many best-sellers and awards) to her credit, Britney drops the maulable baby doll persona, drops a few more yards of material, and picks up a giant albino snake to writhe about with for her performance at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards, and picks up slack from PETA.

Next, a Razzie Award for worst actress ever later, Britney’s painful separation from Justin Timberlake exposes the possibility of infidelity on her part.  Britney opens a restaurant; it closes a year later.  Britney goes into hiding for a bit—fueling fires of chat about her loss of pop princess status….  Britney tongues Madonna, and sparks of media coverage resuscitate….

Britney then marries a boy from her childhood years, the marriage getting annulled three days later.  Two months beyond this, she gets engaged to Kevin Federline, divorced father of two at 26 years old.  Within six months, Spears is married; three smash (and a few not so) hits, a moderately successful fragrance, and a crashing five-episode reality show failure later, Britney gives birth to baby Sean Preston Federline.

And though Britney has purportedly an “Original Doll” album in the making, clearly suggesting her awareness that her Lolita image is what works (or worked best), it is that image that has incurred the disdain of many:  Governor Robert Ehrlich’s wife, First Lady Kendel, would “like to shoot Britney Spears;” is questioned as a fit role model; and is, of course, likened to Madonna—though she is far less the savvy and knowledgeable one, and cannot claim anywhere near the struggles and creative challenges Madonna has earned the right to.

So, consider the latest kinds of coverage on Britney Spears: first, while a star-search online usually yields a Wikipedia entry on page one of Google, for example, when you search for Britney Spears, the wiki entry shows up half way down page two.  Hmmm.  Next, in the latest edition of Us Weekly (which is generous with Jessica Simpson shots or plastered with Angelina Jolie articles and features), the items that appear on Brit involve 1) a photo of her in a food-stained dress, which she wore, Us said, on March 14; 2) a photo of her coming out of a gas station bathroom sans shoes, August 04 [also shown in earlier grocery store rags, btw]; 3) a photo of her standing on July 04 on a Ritz-Carlton balcony fondling her mate Kevin Federline’s crotch; and a one-paragraph dossier of sorts, with a three quarter page photo of Spears walking with Federline—the paragraph a discussion of her wanting Kevin back if he would only quit smoking cigarettes AND pot…for the sake of the baby.

But where are the shots of the baby?  In that same issue, motherhood (and father hood) is a predominant theme—a three-paged bit is done on Angelina Jolie, featuring a full-paged and an additional inset photo of Jolie with newly adopted Zahara; centerfold “Mommy & Me” photographs appear with Liv Tyler, Kate Moss, and Denise Richards hanging out with their kids; and in “The Stars are Just Like Us!” we even see monumental stars like the great Dustin Hoffman taking his son to a NY Nicks game.

So is lack of baby evidence to protect the baby as well?  Is it to protect and endure Britney’s teeny-bopper image?  Is it to protect the hearts of the wishful thinking fans who fantasize being with Britney without baby or happily married mate in tow?  It may be we will never know, as the line between popularity (candid, serendipitous coverage) and publicity (intentional stagings) is paper thin.

Unlike, say, pop diva Janet Jackson, whose publicity stunts are either passed off as bloopers or feigned “secret”, Britney Spears seems to be a relatively innocuous target who doesn’t use much more than a mock marriage or a crotch-grab to sell covers.  But then, maybe she has us all fooled.

AP - Lynne Spears’ book about parenting has been delayed indefinitely, her publisher said Wednesday. Lindsey Nobles, a spokeswoman for Christian book publisher Thomas Nelson Inc., said Wednesday that the memoir by the mother of Britney Spears was put on hold last week.

For a couple of week’s now there have been rumors flying around about Britney Spears’s little sister Jamie Lynn Spears being pregnant.  The 16 year old Nickelodeon Tv Star ran to her older sister Britney Spears on advice about what she should do about the baby. which of course would be the wrong person to talk to. Britney Spears  isn’t exactly the person you should turn to when dealing with babies.

The rumors have now been confirmed that Jaime Lynn Spears is Pregnant.  What does this mean for the young star’s career. In my opinion Jamie Lynn Spears is prettier, can sing better, and of course she can act , way better than Britney. . She’s a triple threat, and she may have gone far in her career. As for now Jamie’s career may be in trouble. She’s currently the hit star of Nickelodeon’s Zoey 101. All of that may be changing in the next few months with her new baby. Jamie also plans on marrying the boy who got her pregnant Casey Aldridge. Casey and Jamie Lynn are so in love with each other and can’t wait to get married.
