The common people have always been interested in the way celebrities lead their lives and the hobbies or interests that they pursue. Like their colorful lives their choices and preferences are also temperamental and diverse. Go through any gossip magazine and you are sure to catch a glimpse of any celebrity animatedly chatting over his/her cell. Among these glitterati there are obviously a few who clearly stand out with their distinctive styles.

Danger’s T-Mobile Sidekick II is one of the most popular cell phones around and it is endorsed by hot celebrities like Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie. This phone received lot of attention because of the hacking of this gadget of Paris Hilton, and the confidential contents getting leaked all over the internet. Another handset which has its own niche in the cell phone fraternity is obviously the Blackberry, which is used by influential people inside the White House as well as stars like Naomi Campbell.

Motorola RAZR V3 is another such cell phone that receives huge applause and in the recent Academy awards, this handset was also distributed as a complimentary gift. Nokia’s 7280 model cell phone was used by Jennifer Lopez in her recent “Get Right” video at the Academy Awards.

Everybody remembers the news where Britney Spears carried her cell phone as the only device when she was sent to the rehabilitation center. Every common person today knows the way she used to frequently shift her cell phones from one model to another, much similar as the hue in her hair. It is also believed that she switched over almost five different cell phones including LG enV, Blackberry 8700c, Sidekick LX and the most recently launched the Samsung u740, in a recent activity of hers.

IPhone was quite a fad initially among celebrities like Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, etc. Lohan was very frequently photographed by paparazzi guys with her iPhone but she later seemed to have switched back to her Blackberry. One can cite Blackberry’s superior messaging services to be the reason and also the fact that Apple does not really subscribe to the idea of entering into any tie-ups with gifting organizations.

Various handset makers today are being approached by different organizations that always look forward for a tie-up in order to distribute and widely spread these free of cost products. Many palm Treo’s and Nokia handsets were spread across and distributed at events like the Venice Film Festival and the World Music Awards.

Maria Sharapova was always spotted out with her pink colored MOTORAZR phone which became an instant hit in the market. These phones were distributed freely to many celebrities to create a buzz in the market. Endorsements that the celebrities provide for such gadgets have always helped the companies with benefits. This can be taken as an example for marketing newly manufactured products and a tactic to attract consumers.

Although it might be true that celebrities can really get any cell phone that they like for free, but a particular preference or liking is definitely exhibited.

The common people have always been interested in the way celebrities lead their lives and the hobbies or interests that they pursue. Like their colorful lives their choices and preferences are also temperamental and diverse. Danger’s T-Mobile Sidekick II is always in the news as this fashionable well-received cell phone is endorsed by famous personalities like Lindsay Lohan and Nichole Richie. Paris Hilton once used this cell phone and this created hype when it was hacked and all the news and other confidential matter was disclosed on the internet. Today, the most prominent people in the White House use BlackBerry, which is also widely accepted by the executive class.

Up next, another handset that was well acclaimed was the Motorola RAZR V3, which was distributed as a complimentary gift in the recent Academy Awards. Jennifer Lopez used the Nokia’s 7280 model phone in her “Get Right” video at the Academy Awards.

When one talks about celebrities, can Britney Spears be missed out? When she was sent to the rehabilitation centre, one gadget that she always kept by her side was a cell phone. Being as capricious as she is, her frequent changes in cell phones, like the hue of her hair, are not something unknown to the rest of the world. Recently she has swapped more than five different handsets, namely, LG enV, Blackberry 8700c, Sidekick LX and the most recent introduction, a Samsung u740.

When Apple released their iPhone, it was in demand among the famous celebrities. Paparazzi guys always spotted Lindsay Lohan with her iPhone in the beginning stages but later she was spotted with her Blackberry. In fact, the reason Blackberry was preferred over others is the superior messaging service and also Apple does not collaborate with gifting organizations.

As a matter of fact, many organizations come forward for a tie-up with handset makers for the purpose of distributing these free of cost products. Palm Treo’s and Nokia handsets were circulated at major events like the Venice Film Festival and the World Music Awards.

The pink colored MOTORAZR is a common sight to one always in the hands of Maria Sharapova. Many organizations spread their view across the globe by freely gifting such handsets to these personalities. In fact, many companies had huge amounts of profits when the popular celebrities endorse such gadgets; which can be taken as a great marketing example.

Even though most of the celebrities have the freedom to choose any cell phone they would desire to use, few preferences are still maintained in using different cell phones which reflect their different personalities.

High School Hopes Spring Eternal

Name me a theme more common and yet, still appealing as the theme of star-crossed lovers. They’re typically from different backgrounds, getting together despite all obstacles and singing their hearts to boot. From ROMEO AND JULIETTE to HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL the themes that appeal to us don’t change very much. In fact, most screenwriters and novelists will tell you, there are only five or six stories that are ever worth telling. Boy-from-the-wrong-side-of-the-tracks meeting the girl-from-the-other-side-of-the-tracks and falling in love will always play.

Then, when you sweeten the pot with a high school setting, you’ve got yourself a bona fide hit. High school is that one rite of passage we all share collectively, regardless of economic, social, or ethnic backgrounds. Regardless of gender, even. Surviving and thriving in high school is a significant event, especially if you just survived it, or if you thrived in it.

Some make the case for high school determining how far you make it in the “real” world. To be sure, it’s not a perfect gauge, but it could be valid. Some people have such a miserable time, they are compelled to transform themselves into someone they could never imagine being inn high school. One way or another, high school will and does effect the rest of your life.

The promise of a high school movie is the promise of America. People, from different and diametrical backgrounds, can get together, fall in love and sing their little hearts out doing it. The closest comparison may be to the Bollywood epics that blend every facet of human existence into two or three hours of melodramatic, comedy, musical fun.

We all want to be heroes. We all ache to have had the courage to punch out the bully and sing sweetly to our secret love. That’s the perennial appeal of the high school movie: it allows us to hope. We can hope for the same kind of unbound courage even now. We want to sing out at the office, dance on top of the cubicle walls, and lead all of our co-workers out the door and into the sunset.
